Bennett and Eliana

>> 3.13.2009

Just a few notes to remember what is keeping us so busy. A week ago Bennett had his semi-annual cardiologist check-up. He got weighed, measured, x-rayed, and connected to the computer. His heart looks great and the pacemaker is working very well. His heart rate has tried to go over the max speed of 200 beats per minute 4900 times in the last 6 months. I attribute it to his older brother pushing him over the edge. So they moved the max speed to 210 and projected the pacer to last another 1.5 - 2 years. We hope it lasts 2.5-3 and can't bear the thought of him having surgery at the age of 4. Ouch. He is such a trooper.

Meanwhile, Cameron and Lani delivered their first little girl - Eliana Kay Mecham. The delivery took all day (sound familiar?). Then she was transported to Primary Children's in SLC the next day b/c he had Pulmonary Valve Stenosis and had a stint put in to widen the valve. Very scary for them but she is doing great.

Also, Aunt Elma who is 86 passed away. The funeral was Tuesday and we were unable to make it. We do hope that it isn't too hard are Grandma and Grandpa Mecham.

Heidi is working at the Dallas World Market this weekend in her sister Hollee's Showroom (see link in right nav column). They are keeping extremely busy and we all miss having mommy home. I am working at the Levi's FORT at South By Southwest next week so I'm sure daddy will be missed next. More later....MM
