ACL Festival 2009

They don't call Austin the live music capital of the world for nothing. Heidi and I enjoyed a wonderful weekend of Austin City Limits 2009. It was 3 days and 130 bands and 75,000 people daily. What more could live music junkies ask for (except for a lot less rain and mud at a time like this)? ACL is like a modern day Woodstock!

The highlights for us were Kings of Leon, Michael Franti, Ben Harper, Zac Brown Band, "!!!" (yes that's their name), Airborne Toxic Event, and of course Pearl Jam. We also saw Flogging Molly, Jypsi, Toadies, Choheed & Cambria, Thievery Corp, and State Radio and heard many others in the background. I borrowed the pics below of KOL and PJ from the ACL web site b/c they are much better than my own.
